Our Rating:
These flash punk popsters know that you never get a second chance to make a good first impression. The North London quartet hit the ground running with this, their debut single, recorded in their own studio in Hackney .   Life Span - taken from the album, Post Human Love - hooks you at once as it kicks in with six drum beats then a kick-ass riff precedes James Cook belting out the opening line: "Unlock that shutter. Destroy your idols.....". It's a rousing two minute statement of intent matched by a sharply edited video (also on the cd).

As for the 'B sides', well, '5 min. Heroes' is like a resurrected Psychedelic Furs while 'Truth Or Die' is another synth-drenched sonic assault where Cook's staccato vocals again sound as if he's quoting favourite graffiti slogans.

Nemo are as yet small fish in a big pond but,as this brash three-song-seven-minute opening salvo shows, they're well on course to make waves.
