There's a warm glow to this single from Swedish singer songwriter's second album - Somewhere In The City.
It's one for those who agree that quiet is the new loud being not a million miles from fellow Scandinavians 'Kings Of Convenience' . He describes it as a tribute to Paul Simon.
The highway I take to represent a spiritual quest with its intrinsic ups and downs - finding love but losing friendship, wanting to be good but fearful of a fall from grace. Then again the metaphor gets a bit mixed up as he sings "there are too many doors, too many walls". Still, it all glides along smoothly without the need to shift gear and Froberg's voice is ideal for the easy listening mood.

It's a pleasant record and makes me want to hear more although I could have done without the extended chorus of angelic humming at the end. A broadening of the sound palate in general would have given the song some much needed spicing up.
File under mellow.
