Our Rating:
Oh yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwnnnnnnnn. Australian-based DAMN ARMS have churned out a highly polished (i.e. commercially viable) generic pastiche of *everything* that's been on XFM for the past couple of years. From the 80's disco-indie sound of The Killers (before they moved onto less abrasive stuff) to the
"I'm-going-to-shout-quasi-philosophical-bollocks-high-above-the-noise" a-la Bloc Party, this single is a repetitive bout of highly charged electro-ponce. It's the same old story of band managers flogging the tired old horse of nu-wave electro-pop (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) until it's dead. And then flogging it some more, just to rub our noses in it.

You can just picture them knocking around haunts like The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch with their Russell Brand haircuts, eyeliner, tight black jeans and very pointy shoes. Thing is fellas, my 15-year-old sister's boyfriend is dolling up like that these days. Move on.
