Review: 'TELLEY'
'Aw Mum They Made Me Read (ep)'

-  Label: 'Hitback'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '5th March 2007'-  Catalogue No: 'hitback42cd'

Our Rating:
It's officially summer when you hear charmingly unpretentious pop singles like this.

Telley are 3 guys and 1 gal who are based in London having apparently formed via e-mail. However they came together the blend of guitar and keyboards and strong male-female vocal harmonies is definitely a winning formula.

This is their debut single and it boasts three very catchy tunes played with an exuberant energy.

School not being out just yet, the title track that has a certain social realism in the household of yours truly. My 11 year daughter is always panic stricken at having to speak in front of the class - she relates strongly to the catalogue of bodily reactions described here - shaking legs, sweating, fast heart beat etc . A great idea for a song and delivered with aplomb .

The other two tracks - 'The Artist & the Investment' and 'Primary Colours' continue in the bright and brisk manner.

In a word - delightful.

Lovely sleeve too.
