To be fair this is exactly the sort of music you'd expect 17 year olds to be listening too and the fact that its also played by teenagers should come as little surprise.
If this was the produce of a bunch of thirty somethings it'd probably be time to get a real job. However, Paramour, as a band, despite their tender years are no mean musicians and in lead singer Hayley Williams they've a vocalist capable of keeping up with the boys and even surpassing quite a few.
It's a frenetic number a touch reminiscent of No Doubt's more upbeat efforts although vocally Williams is actually a better singer than Gwen Stefani. On the downside, its lyrically bland and does nothing new musically. Though with the style of music they've chosen its virtually impossible to be anything but derivative.
All things considered, Paramore are worthy of watching to see how they progress over the next couple of years as their music matures. They just might surprise us all.
