Review: 'McCULLOCH, ROB'
'GOLDEN BOY'

-  Label: 'GLADRAG RECORD COMPANY LTD'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '18th June 2007'

Our Rating:
ROB McCULLOCH initially didn’t strike much of a chord, but given a couple of listens this track actually has a lot to offer. It has some nice changes, McCulloch’s voice suits the music and lyrically he shows plenty of character.

What he needs is a stage to demonstrate it. A big tour supporting one of the big British bands will reap thousands of new converts and the sort of music that McCulloch plays would be a comfortable fit in most venues.

But what of this track? Well, if you had to compare, his style is more along the lines of the Arctic Monkeys than Oasis, but he neatly cribs inspiration from both whilst injecting his own Bolton-esque style.

McCulloch is not the finished article, but there’s definitely enough in there to warrant sufficient interest in his future.
Shows Promise.
