The cover image of a brightly coloured kids' clock floating in a blue sky is quite an good indication of the mood of this good time band from London.
If I were a betting man I'd hazard a guess that they would endorse the words of the poet Adrian Mitchell who once observed that "the world is falling to pieces, but some of the pieces taste good".
This is a likeable ep, the follow up their debut single 'It's Time' , wherein you'll find two bright, pop friendly numbers and two more free flowing tunes.
It's the 14 minute take on 'The Unstoppable Kite' that's worth your entrance money, a version that half way through abandons the bouncy radio friendly beats for some wonderfully skewed ambient-dub atmospherics.
Between the two versions of the title track are a couple of tracks that are less memorable. Living on An Island offers some throwaway observations on reality shows, while '(it's always) Boomtime (part two)' repeats the line "We've been waiting for this moment for a long long time" ad-nauseum (I stopped counting at 25!)

While they boldly claim to sound like nothing else on earth they reminded me strongly of The Band of Holy Joy and their much underrated album 'Manic, Magic and Majestic'. Both bands have a freewheeling sense of fun and an eclectic set of influences.
Full marks for the band name and their forthcoming album is even more of a mouthful; it's called "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at they came from the stars I saw them'.
The album is scheduled for an Autumn 2007 release which is surely a marketing error because this is Summer music if ever I heard it
