Our Rating:
In today's current musical climate, ask yourself this: do we really need another band that sounds just like The Editors?

We're talking about a band that is the Spitting Image of, not merely influenced by The Editors. In fact, a band that sounds so much like The Editors, that if they were a single malt whiskey, they would be a band made from distilled The Editors. They sound like The Editors so much that they are more like The Editors than The Editors. Not even like Joy Division, who The Editors sound a lot like.

Oh the wheels within wheels keep on turning, and I shall continue to chew my fist in sheer boredom at the number of competent, yet derivative bands that all sound very much alike, until they drift away from their original source of inspiration and, weirdly, morph into even more concentrated versions of each other. It's all so unhealthy.

THE DOMINO STATE. They may as well rename themselves "The Subeditors" and have done with it. Bah.

I thought this website had journalists/reviewers working for it. Judging by this rather vapid review, I'm not so sure.

Actually it would have been good to get a journalist review this record rather than some imbecilic commentator who wouldn't know a reviewing style if it hit them with a quill and ink and said 'I'm a reviewing style'.

I've heard this record and I can hear The Smiths, My Bloody Valentine, a touch of Idlewild, dare I say Snow Patrol. Yes, I do hear Editors, but when were Editors complete and utter copyright...shortened comments
