Review: 'SONS AND DAUGHTERS'
'GILT COMPLEX'

-  Label: 'DOMINO (www.dominorecordco.com)'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '29th October 2007'-  Catalogue No: 'RUG268'

Our Rating:
Sons and Daughters are back, and this time they're louder. 'Gilt Complex' sticks to the conventions of the great comeback single. A killer hook, a catchy tune and the signs of progression. The heavily accented trademark vocals are stronger, angrier, and much more bitter. Hoorah! As a band, the sound is tighter, and yet seemingly more raw. If this a true flavour of what's to come, then fans of the band are right to get very, very excited.

The single is backed by a potentially fatal (no pun intended) cover of Adamski's 'Killer.' But they rise above this by making it their own without straying too far from the original idea. A strong dose of drumming again bodes well for Sons and Daughters reaching their full potential in the not too distant future.
