Review: 'FREEMAN, VINCE'
'Songs Without Shoes'

-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'November 2007'

Our Rating:
Vince here specialises in the kind of OC friendly music that will housewives' knees quivering - and should probably make Jack Johnson a very worried man. That may be a little unfair as an opening comment about this talented songwriter though, as there really is something to be said for his astounding voice and accomplished guitar playing. He's even played gigs with everyone from Paolo Nutini to, man of the moment, Newton Faulkner.

'Beauty Queen' is a highlight on here for me. Heartfelt and downright lush in it's delivery, it does prove the record's high point but 'Whispers' and 'Turn Around Grace' (both available to listen to on the MySpace at www.myspace.com/vincefreeman) show that our man isn't a one hit wonder.

A sensational voice. A great guitarist. Enough Said.
