Review: 'Bassboosa'
'Bassboosa'

-  Label: 'Champion Records'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: 'November 2007'

Our Rating:
Coming from the same label (Champion Records) as pop music's wet fart 'Dido' and club music's unrivalled pioneers 'Faithless', I'm not afriad to say that I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I opened up this package. And a very nice package it is at that too.

This isn't a million miles away from Dido but there's a lot more depth to it all. Lush vocals, sweet lyrics and some great electronic music with acoustic interludes. 'Wicked Game' is an obvious single, but a good one at that. Some folk may recognise the name as the Chris Isaak tune - and you're right. A pat on the back to you all. It's a very tasteful cover and proving successful with our friends across the pond. It became the most requested import EVER on USA's KNRK radio station and with over half a million myspace plays it's not doing too badly.

'Succumb' and 'Fool My Heart' are also nice and moody and the whole album makes as a very chilled out, atomspheric listen. Head over to the myspace for more corkers.
