Exhibition Time Again is the debut release from Ten City Nation. Formed in January 2007, the band have spent much of the year since then touring, and they seem to have utilised this time together rather well.

Ten City Nation have a sound that retains much melody but has far larger balls than the usual “indie-rock” fair.

The first two songs, the title track and “Song For Hannah” are in Therapy? and Hundred Reasons territory, with big guitars, pounding drums and rumbling bass.

Third track offers a change of pace, being slower but it still sounding quite meaty. Towards the end the songs erupts towards a Nirvana-esque climax, with faster drums, squealing guitar and forceful vocals.

At the moment, they may not be pushing any musical boundaries but TCN do what they do very well indeed. They would probably sit quite nicely on the Deep Elm roster of bands.

Certainly worth watching out for.
