Review: 'TEAM WATERPOLO'
'LETTING GO/ PROBLEMATIC GIRLS (single)'

-  Label: 'Moshi Moshi'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '25th February 2008'

Our Rating:
A lame band name and tacky cover art but the debut single by Preston's 'Team Waterpolo' contains two slices of Summery pop guaranteed to brighten up the dreary winter months.

The pumped up bubblegum has a vitality that wouldn't be out of place in a West End show - think of a collision between Grease and Mamma Mia and you get the idea.

The chorus to Letting Go is appropriately anodyne - a prime example of banality with a beat if ever I heard it:
"Do you wanna know / Have you gotta let it show / I don't wanna know / Have I gotta go".

Cheesy it may be but there's also a genuine spirit and sense of fun - qualities not to be dismissed lightly. Check out their video on You Tube and you'll see what i mean.
