Review: 'HUMANITY, THE'
'BASS LINEAR (single)'

-  Label: 'Happy Release records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '17th March 2008'

Our Rating:
The Humanity, who hail from London, call themselves an "anarcho gothic nu-grave band".

This, their debut single, is a fast and furious offering full of nervous energy and shouty vocals. It is dedicated to the generation struggling to stay solvent and sane in 2008 with the tag line
"nobody believes in dreams anymore".

The net result is a rousing slice of super charged Euro pop but while the (barely discernable) words give a clear sense of a band with an axe to grind, it's far from clear precisely who or what their sound and fury is directed at.
