This is the third single from this Anglo-French quartet, released on Ciao Ketchup, a new London-based “singles only” label.
The words may be dumbed down but there's plainly a sparky intelligence behind the apparent banality.
They make brisk tongue-in-cheek pop songs - the A and B side (Different Game) say all they need to say in just over 2 minutes.
Imagine the Stooges doing power pop and you get an idea of where We Wanna Get Some Real Fun is coming from. The setting is mundane, urban and un-poetic where there's the "smell of petrol in the KFC" is in lieu of the scent of daffodils. Fun is what they want and need - a message delivered with fervour not anger.

'Different Game' features Yorkshire-born singer Ellice Williams in cutesy little girl lost mode cooing lines like : "I would like to articulate my curious side" against a tacky lo-fi backing.
It's all cheerful and catchy - unpretentious pop which doesn't stick in the mind for long but is fun while it lasts.
