Born and raised in New York City, Peter Gallway currently lives in Santa Barbara, California. He's a producer, A&R man and this is his umpteenth solo album.
Of this record he writes in the sleeve notes:
"This collection of songs is about connection, or attempts at connection - love, loss, desire - the ebb and flow... they are pretty much true one way or another."
What is missing is a sense of vitality in these relationships. Friends and lovers come and go but the languid mood remains the same.
The tone is so laid back and sleepy it makes James Taylor sound like power pop.
The ten songs drift by with no changes in texture or pace. Each evokes the passivity of someone living in slow motion. "Life moves along so quick" he sings in 'Try More Love' and you yearn for at least one song at least to match this rhythm.

The philosophy behind the songs seems to be fatalistic - what will be will be - so there is no reason for rage or tears.
There is a sense of humanity here but the serious lack of energy makes this a case of R'n'B running on low batteries.
