There is nothing like the taste of real metal. And the Canada-based Throttlecaster (http://www.throttlecaster.com) are bonafide authentic hard rockers. Led by Estonia native Erko Nomm (vocals/guitars), Throttlecaster bash the walls with fireballs of guitar fury, delivered with the melodic instincts of Def Leppard. Not only do these lads know how to rock, but they can make you shake your ass as well.
In a way, Throttlecaster could be seen as the next Scorpions. Nomm's songs have a strong emotional background that you almost don't need notice because the guitars are so busy knocking your knickers off. "Chrome and Steel," "Performer," and the aptly titled "Iron Fist" peel the asphalt from the road with manic energy. They'll leave you gasping for air, especially the latter, whose main purpose seems to be to slam your body on the ground. Killer stuff.

Those who've become disillusioned with contemporary metal will be believers again after hearing Throttlecaster. This isn't some whiny, pretentiously glum, and overly dissonant noise; Throttlecaster's tunes are immediately accessible and irresistible, even to those who claim they can't stomach hard rock.
