"She's Like An Angel" is the second single taken from the really rather splendid "The Big Adventure" album.
The lead track is a joyous, brass-rich indie-pop number, just right for the end of summer. What we call in the North, "a belter". If this is not a hit given the exposure it deserves, I'll be a monkey's uncle.
It is backed by 2 solid B-sides, "Michael" - an acoustic, folk-tinged song, and "First Name Terms", a more traditionally "indie" workout. Both are decent songs, but lack the distinctive flavour of the lead track. Still, the point of singles is surely to showcase a band’s best songs, so job done…
