Review: 'Zeya'
'Dreams'

-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'October 6th'

Our Rating:
Based outside Bath, England, Zeyamusic was formed to concentrate on the song writing of Crispin Thomas and the singing talents of Zeya Phillips.

‘Dreams’ is the incredible new single from Zeya, and it is a heady blend of rock and pop, but influences of funk and 1950’s R‘n’B can also be heard. Beginning with a simple guitar riff that will be stay in your head for the rest of the day, it provides a strong start to the song. The chorus is a catchy one where the tone lightens, creating an optimistic sound that mirrors the lyrics ‘We all have dreams, we can share.’ Moving into the bridge, an up beat, 8 bar call and response is used to good effect between the lead vocals of Zaya and the backing vocalists, before heading back to the chorus that continues and gradually fades out.

Encompassing everything that a pop song should have, a catchy hook, easy chorus and easy on the ear for the listener, this song provides a great accompaniment for a summer’s day, and I guarantee that you will be singing along before the end of the track.
