This Bradford based band have plenty of swagger and maturity despite the fact that they’re still under 20 and are currently unsigned.
This demo relase contains three tracks of around 4 minutes apiece: Thieves And Lovers, Making New and This Life if Mine.
The Guardian's Dave Simpson has generously spoken of The Tempus in the same breath as Led Zeppelin , Neil Young and The Verve which is somewhat excessive although does give an accurate indicator of where they are coming from sound-wise.
They take a conventional classic rock sound complete with guitar solos which are like punk never happened and mix in robust vocals that sound more American than English.
It's a derivative yet authoritative demo that should serve its purpose of generating record company interest.
