JONJO FEATHER is a twenty year old handsome chap from England somewhere.
His new release 'Taxi' is a staggered, fuzzy, lo fi piece that harkens back to the days of the velvet underground and Bowie. Vocals are sleazy and softly spoken which gives it a malevolence and coolness that fits the haircut and pout on his myspace page . The only downpoint to this is that I can't tell what he is saying other than "she likes the taxi".
That said, the production is brilliant and well thought out. He obviously knows what he is doing. I think I'd dig this song more if I was on heroin but alas I'm not so I'll give the style 10 out of ten 10 the substance 6 as taxi is quite catchy but the B side is a tad self indulgent.
'Taxi' has been available from the 17th of November and will be available on ltd edition 7 inch vinyl so that you can scratch over it. It's on Dead Young Records. Check it out.
