Review: 'ROYAL VENDETTA'
'ROYAL VENDETTA'

-  Label: 'myspace.com/royalvendetta'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '2008'

Our Rating:
This Leeds based four piece formed in 2006 and their brisk dance orientated Indie pop is like a cross between Erasure and Cult.

With their rapid fire delivery it's as if they are racing each other to see who can finish first.

Jonny Banks' vocals have urgency bordering on mild panic and his three cohorts provide rousing edgy backing.

The four tracks on this ep are ‘Why Do I need it’/’Too many wrongs’/’Hopelessly lost’/’You answer’

The sound is tight but in their enthusiasm to make a strong impact they forget that a little subtlety goes a long way. To go full throttle all the way quickly leads to burn out and they need to inject more contrasting tunes into their songs to convince that they've got what it takes.
