Our Rating:
This cd containing just a single track arrived in a hand made cloth envelope accompanied by a press release for three shows at The Wilmington Arms in Clerkenwell, a venue with a capacity of just 70.

At the very least, this shows that the band are serious when they say they aim to focus on the personal touch.

The track in question is a mini epic of orchestral folk-pop with enigmatic lyrics about machines and wheels which I interpreted , rightly or wrongly, as a metaphor for making connections and putting actions into motion.

What I can say is that this is certainly not your common or garden boy-girl love song, despite the fact that a male and female duet of Nima and Brown respectively is what drives the tune. Behind their intense voices is a string backing which builds to a rousing crescendo as the two repeat the line "everything comes in its time".

It sounds like a statement of intent.

The intriguing band name and ambitious sound signifies a band with a clear vision of where their headed. A full length debut album will establish whether they can make this momentum work in their favour but on the basis of this one song they have sufficient depth and originality to merit a quiet optimism.
