Review: 'HUSH NOW, THE'
'HOPING & WAITING'

-  Label: 'NOELLEON MUSIC (www.thehushnow.com)'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'September 2009'

Our Rating:
After a bad day, this is the perfect pick-me-up, a slice of brilliant upbeat pop that is available for free as an MP3 download from http://thehushnow.com/ How can you go wrong!!

The Hush Now are a five piece indie pop band from Boston, Mass. Led by Noel Kelly, their self-titled debut album is also available as a free download from their MySpace page. This is a band that, from this single, clearly enjoys making a crackingly good pop song.

The opening bars of organ tilt a nod to those 1960s indie posters, The Monks, and with a throbbing bass line, soaring vocals, and chiming guitars this chugs along amicably for the first two and three quarter minutes before going into an operatic section, which was totally unexpected, and being backed by some skilful trumpet playing as it goes into the anthemic final chorus :-

“ Cause my heart is breaking, anticipating, Hoping & waiting that you’ll come along.”

All in all, this is a really good song from a band that I think we will hear a lot more from in the future. Download this today!
