Was having a lovely relaxing evening the other week, listening to the BBC Scotland Jazz House show and indulging my ears to the sounds of Dave Brubeck and Manhatten Transfer, when suddenly across the airwaves I heard the wonderful new single 'Live For Today' from singer songwriter Tanja Maritsa and was utterly smitten.
This contagious charming single is from Tanja's soon to be released album 'Fragile' which features an array of top class musicians and with a voice reminiscent of Blossom Dearie come Joni Mitchell, and a clear talent for songwriting, to quote the presenter Stephen Duffy, "if I don't hear this on radio 2 soon I'll eat my hat !"

I cant wait for the release of the album next year and hope to hear a lot more from this singer and in the meantime I'll be singing along to the single and will definitely 'Live for Today' !
