Richard Walters, the man who 'refuses to rock out' offers up 'Weather Song' as a taster for his forthcoming album. Walters' acoustic guitar drifts over a rather sombre-sounding string section to quite good effect, while his voice lifts to a soaring not-quite falsetto in a style that's pleasant on the ear. The understated production is well-suited to Walters' delivery, but ultimately, it's just that little bit too undemanding, the 'oooh yeah,' chorus rather inconsequential.
Pleasant, but nothing to get excited about. Rather like the weather, really.
