The press release that accompanies this joyfully predicts that "'Loving You at Christmastime' will be all over the radio waves this festive season." It probably will, too. Perhaps not Radio 1, but Radio 2 are going to love it.
There's a reason I try to avoid the television and radio through December. Songs like this are precisely the reason why. Cuddly, warm, happy sentiments delivered in bundles of cheeriness and cloying niceness wearing bright, patterned, snuggly knitted jumpers while sitting by an open fire that are simply too sickly sweet to be genuinely enjoyable, or even enjoyably genuine.
Still, it's not as painful as Bob Dylan's effort, I suppose.
