Review: 'SEELAND'
'Captured'

-  Label: 'LoAF'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '19th October 2009'

Our Rating:
LoAF records have a knack of finding left of centre, quirky, understated - but not dull - acts, and Seeland's 'Captured' is a typical case in point. It's breezy, poppy, catchy and still unlike, well, pretty much most things out there. It's not post-rock, and it's not ambient either, but somewhere between the two. Call it what you will, it's captivating, curious and cool.

'Call the Incredible' - ere remixed by The Advisory Circle, is a slow, spaced out strum, augmented by chimes and mellow synth sounds, while 'Library' - as remixed by Thomas Knack - is similarly dreamy and soporific, in a pleasant and relaxing rather than tedious way.

The additional remixes, including an instrumental of The Advisory Circle's remix of 'Call the Incredible,' however, seem a little pointless.
