Lucius is the pseudonym of Swansea-based singer-songwriter Luke Morgan. Live, he has supported the likes of Kids In Glass Houses and Funeral For A Friend. "Enemy" is Lucius' new single, the first release from his recent recording sessions.
Having only heard this track, it is impossible to know if this track is entirely representative of Lucius' output, but if it is, he could be onto something. He has mixed big guitars with dance beats to create "disco-rock" with a slightly 80s vibe. It is in the vein of Head Automatica's first album, but slightly more commercial. The production is slick and meaty, creating a quite enjoyable song.
It remains to be heard what the rest of his songs sound like but this is quite a promising release.
