Wishbone Ash have been making music and touring (with various line-up changes, Andy Powell aside) for 40 years, though this is their first official single since 1989. Unsurprisingly, it sounds exactly as you would expect it to sound. It is classic rock, in the classic sense). It has the "classic" verse-chorus-verse structure, "classic" rock guitars and is, all told, "classic" commercial, radio-friendly, up-tempo AOR.
To be fair, it does not sound particularly out-dated, it just does nothing new.
Fans of the band will love it, no-one else will care.
