Monty's MySpace pic doesn't really represent his music. I say this, because I was braced for something between 'classic' rock and old-school hippie folk, but this EP kicks off with something of a more overtly rock bent, with some substantial riffing and power chords atop the acoustic strum. While rhyming 'rocks' and 'cocks', I just can't get with the sentiment that 'America Rocks'. That Monty seems sincere in this opinion doesn't help.
I have to check that I've not inadvertently hit repeat when 'Butterflies in Heaven' starts up. But the lyrics are different, so I'm not going mad. From hereon in, it's more of the (amateurish) same, with a few vocal effects and other novelties thrown in, but to little or no real effect. Ultimately, there's nothing to recommend this, so I shan't.
