There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance. When an artist submits a single for review with a message that simply reads 'You need to hear this!' I'm likely to assume the former, although I'm always willing to be proven wrong.
En Derin does nothing to dispel my initial prejudices, however. His evidently vast self-belief really isn't justified, as his 'fresh new song' 'I'm Young Man' is just one more slick, generic slice of vacuous lamecore rap.
En Derin portrays himself as a real player, and a toerag to boot, as he recounts one of his nights out: 'I'll fulfil your dreams / get you wet an' slide it in / she's sayin' where's my diamond ring / girl, how about we get married tonight, what d'ya think this is, huh?' The wince-inducingly repetitive chorus summarises his philosophy: 'I'm young, man, I just wanna party / she wants marriage, she wants kids.'

Sure, he's young, and consequently, has a lot of growing up to do....
