'Flush' has many of the trademark elements of Bellamy's old band, The Cooper Temple Clause, and his work as Rhysmix - not least of all myriad elements all wrestling with one another in the mix. Consequently, it's a pretty dizzying mash-up of sounds that combine to produce a busy, edgy techno number with drive.
As break up song that's anything but friendly, guest vocalists Riz MC and Envy trade insults that range from the witty to the snidey and scathing.
Whether we really need 8 versions is debatable. Even if Dan Le Sac's 'Do-Do Remix' is both interesting and different enough to be worthwhile, the accapella version is without a doubt a needless filler. Still, it's good stuff: the kind of dance music even an avowed disliker of dance can dig.
