Review: 'THEE PIATCIONS'
'Time (EP)'

-  Label: 'A Giant Leap'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '7th June 2010'-  Catalogue No: 'AGLDG002'

Our Rating:
Thee Piatcions are a four piece (guitar/bass/drums/keyboards) from the small Northern Italian town of Domodossola whose musical soul is somewhere between LA and London.

They play spacey 60s-style garage/psych-rock, singing in English although this hardly matters much since the words are buried in the nu-gaze haze.

This EP features two versions of the title tracks and two mini jams: Singamore Non Amour and As Seen Through A Telescope

The four young men are happy to act out the rock'n'roll cliches of wearing leather jackets and having publicity shots taken in a disused warehouse.

The copycat elements in their music are equally blatant but they carry it off with a certain panache and, like heavy metal, this music never really goes totally in or out of style.

Meet the nu-sound - same as the old sound.
