There is no denying Canadian soulstress Tara Mathew has a sensational voice. With a similar vocal range to that of Mariah Carey and Leona Lewis, it comes as no surprise when you learn that she has studied and trained in music over a number of years and it is refreshing to hear someone really hold her own. She has also been blessed with pop star looks and you wouldn't believe this singer had settled down and is a mother of a young daughter. There are little things that unfortunately illustrate how Tara is yet ready to compete with the major artists, in terms of a dated single choice and poor packaging, but these are alterations that can be adjusted in her favour. The single He Said She Said doesn't really sit comfortably alongside current releases and you could be forgiven for mistaking it for a 90s hit, but putting that aside Ms Mathew is certainly one to watch out for.
