Review: 'Ten City Nation'
'Hidden Shallows'

-  Label: 'R*E*P*E*A*T Records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '20th September 2010'

Our Rating:
As much a taster for the forthcoming R*E*P*E*A*T Records 'Love Music Hate Racism' EP as an actual single release, this provides a showcase for the talents of Ten City Nation. Ostensibly an 'indie' band, there's more meat to their sound than yer average, with 'Hidden Shallows' being a full-throttle blast of guitars that hits the listener right between the eyes. It's a welcome breath of fresh air, for sure.

'The Air is On Fire' is built around a cascading, echo-heavy guitar line, but then the choruses explode with energy and overdrive, completely changing the dynamic and propelling the song past the six minute mark before you even realise. Exhilarating stuff.
