Is the pun well running so dry that the best a new band can come up with is Stages of Dan? Well, I'm assuming it's supposed to be an allusion to the stages of man (either in evolutionary or Shakespearean terms), but perhaps I'm giving too much credit... which is more than I can give for this flustered and excitable but ultimately vapid jangly indie effort. It's every bit as bland and workmanlike as the title suggests, and evokes neither Shakespeare or Darwin. Still, it's better than their predictable execution of Dr Alban's 'What is Love?'
