Pitched as being a hybrid of The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads and A Flock of Seagulls and boasting a front man who sounds like 'the love child of The Killers and The Strokes,' this double A-side is the Texan quintet's UK debut. To raise their profile over here in advance of this release, they've played a handful of dates supporting The Wombats.
They're better than The Wombats, but let's face it, that's not hard. The trouble is, I've had a gutful of catchy enough but ultimately bland indie pop, and Wild Party simply don't bring anything new to the, er, party. So, take my advice and give this one a miss... because life's too short for ten-a-penny bands like this one.
