There's one born every minute, or so we're supposed to believe. No, I'm not talking about gullible idiots (there are far more of those born every minute. The viewing figures of X Factor are testament to that fact), but musical starlets. There's an endless quest to discover the next big thing, this year's KT Tunstall or Sandi Thom or Ellie Goulding or Laura Marling Nerin Pallot, or the next Beth Orton or Joni Mitchell or whoever.
And now we have Lotte Mullan, who's already been compared to several of the aforementioned. She's aiming to seduce us with her brand of gentle acoustic introspection, her softly crooned and half-whispered vocals and quirky bittersweet lyrics. She looks the part, and 'can't Find the Words' is pleasant enough and all the rest, but is ultimately forgettable.

So will she break on through? Quite frankly I couldn’t care less either way.
