To the Chase's sound is, apparently, categorisable as 'Indie / soul crossover influenced by classic Pop, Rock, Dance Music, D&B and Dubstep.' What 'When You Believed' actually sounds like is pretty average indie fare. It's delivered with a reasonable degree of urgency, and is short and to the point, and as such, it's better than anything Razorlight have produced, but, well, it's not exactly special, and doesn't really do as it says on the proverbial tin.
Double a-side 'The Return' is an uptempo stomper with groove and is bolstered by brass that definitely gives it a boost and a dash of pizzazz. It's not exactly innovative, but it is good fun. You've got to give these guys marks for effort, at least.
