Review: 'FRASER, BROOKE'
'Something In The Water (Single)'

-  Label: 'Wood & Bone Records'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '28th March 2011'

Our Rating:
"I've got halos made of Summer, rhythms made of Spring" enthuses Brooke Fraser in an infuriatingly contagious tune that you can't get out of your head once you've heard it.

It is the type of breezy country-pop song that has breakthrough European hit written all over it; one of those tracks you like when you first hear it but quickly becomes incredibly irritating.

This review is written well ahead of its release date in the UK but it's out in Italy and is already impossible to avoid. Proof of its hit potential can be drawn from the fact that it reached number one in Fraser's native New Zealand a while back.

Something In The Water is the opening track from Flags which is actually her third album but the first to be released in the UK (in April 2011).

The album was actually recorded in Los Angeles with an American backing band and just to confuse matters still further she now lives in Sydney.

She looks great, the song sounds good on the radio and the single is heading for a chart near you as we speak!
