Review: 'Tall Timber'
'City's Come to the Country'

-  Genre: 'Alt/Country'

Our Rating:
Listening to this, I'm reminded of the scene in The Blues Brothers where the band rock up at Bob's Country Bunker and Ellwood asks what kind of music they usually have, to be told, "we have both kinds. Country and Western".

Tall Timber's 'City's Come to the Country' - taken from their newfangled long-playing compact disc thingumajig, which also includes such moseying greats as 'Plain Ol' Country Boy' and 'Southern Discomfort' sees duetting singers T. Bill and Suzie bemoan the migration of city slickers and their city ways and dubious morals into the peaceful, traditional, simple yet wholesome country life. 'I don't like it one bit,' they sing. Me neither, but then I don't like country (or western) either, so they can keep it, thanks very much. I'll stick to the big smokes, y'all.
