'Temporal Shift Reaction' comes on with a cacophony of swirling synths, sweeps and bleeps, all underpinned by a synth bass that simultaneously drones and pulsates, propelled by a relentless drum machine, and sits somewhere between Suicide's 'Rocket USA' and the kind of wall of noise electro carnage that Dr Mix and the Remix cranked out. It's after this that the temporal marauding really begins, as the rhythms slowly tip off centre, gradually warping and twisting and stretching to quite dizzying, disorientating effect.
Analogue oscillations run riot and the tracks don't so much segue into one another but slowly mutate from one piece to the next, the elliptical rhythms shifting shape kaleidoscopically across the sections to form two continuous tracks that occupy side 1 and 2.

Side two begins with 'Glances Under Glass' and its hypnotically grinding pulsing rhythms inch into the territory of Throbbing Gristle or, more contemporaneously, Factory Floor. 'It All came Rushing Back' bleeds seamlessly into the closer, 'Contempt (Part 2)' which has the same skittering electronics that lead TG's 'Six Six Sixties'. And that, readers, is a recommendation.
