Our Rating:
This album is out in time for the band's forthcoming UK tour in late october and November wherein they will apparently play raucous shows which if all you'd heard was this album would come as a surprise as raucous is the last thing it is. With vocals that veer from Stina Nordenstam fragility to Stereolab-ish ambience with a very synthetic wallpaper backing that if heard in a clothes shop would drive me straight back out the door!

Space Babe, the fourth tune on the album is so annoying that if it were up to me this would be the point to press the eject button on the CD player or at least the skip button it is chill out in hell space muzak.

Kimmi In A Rice Field is a bit like the music from Twin Peaks recorded by a band on demarol which is followed by the two strongest songs on the album, Spain and Gene Ciampi: the former is almost a spanish guitar ballad and the vocals aren't too cloying. It's followed by their tribute to Gene Ciampi that is done in a spaghetti western chill out stylee and would be the one tune I wouldn't mind hearing again.

Saturday Sunday is yawntastically mewling chill out nonsense that would get me running from the chill out room to a pounding techno room, and I hate pounding techno!! The closer Eastern Green has a couple of great instrumental cresendos that are spoilt by the wimpy vocals coming back in again.

I have no idea who the audience for this band is or where you would pitch them.
