Review: 'Et Tu Bruce'
'Stars Fall'

-  Label: 'Worldwide Records'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: 'December 2011'-  Catalogue No: 'WW002'

Our Rating:
Other critics will no doubt be fawning over this London quartet’s luscious harmonies and their light, breezy sound reminiscent of The Beach Boys. ‘Stars Fall’ is the quintessential sliver of perfect folk-infused pop, the radiant sound of summer, and all the rest. Steve Lamacq, Gideon Coe and Tom Robinson have already been raving about them, apparently.

Balls to that. Yes, it is tuneful, melodic, harmony-laden and sun soaked, but it’s also pretty forgettable. Plus, while it may be a reference to the surname of the two brothers Darryn and Craig Bruce, who together provide the rhythm section, Et Tu Bruce is a lousy name for a band.
