They may be hotly-tipped by Q and The Guardian, racking up over a million hits on YouTube and landing themselves in NME’s ‘top 5 underground pop bands’ but I really can’t see what the fuss is all about. Yes, ‘Scream’ is a nice, fluffy piece of St Etienne-like dream pop with an urban edge, but its sleek stylings are in keeping with just how generic and mundane it is.
