Raised on Replicas are ‘two boys and two girls from Brighton who deal a discordant pop/noise that is full of the joys of hypnotic loud guitars, driving bass and really fab metronomic, motornik drums that are entwined with sharp melodies and hip, witty cutting lyrics’, enthuses Louder than War label supremo John Robb in the promo bumph for this, the second 7” single release on his hot new Louder than War label.
‘OMG’ is a scorching sonic riot, interlooping guitars slicing against the grain of a bass that grates and buzzes angrily. Flipside ‘Sometimes’ is an angular, abrasive slice of pure punk served up with a hefty slice of sneering aggression, although that it’s to say it’s not musically or lyrically lacking depth: far from it. Best of all, it has a gritty-low slung bassline AND hooks.

In short, a killer release that proves that neither punk nor the single format is dead.
