Review: 'Films of Colour'
'Running / Creature of Habit'

-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '7th May 2012'

Our Rating:
Films of Colour have to date established themselves of purveyors of synth-infused indie rock of a fairly remarkable quality over the course of a handful of singles releases that demonstrate a liking for moody yet melodic songs with enough dark undercurrents to keep things interesting.

‘Running’ is a slow-burning mid-pace number that drifts and gradually builds layers of sound over a delicate guitar line that’s underpinned by a deceptively sturdy bass. ‘Creature of Habit’ is perhaps the stronger of the two tracks, upping the tempo and the tension, but not without sacrificing the well-placed hooks or surging finish that once again proves Films of Colour’s knack for neat tunes.
