Garron Frith from Stalybride, North West England has decent songs, a good set of lungs and plays a mean slide guitar.
The follow up to his self titled debut features very laid back folk music with strong influences from blues and gospel and is aimed at those in a mellow frame of mind.
The opening song, Black Widow, is like a slowed down Calexico song and features sometime Lambchop trumpeter Dennis Cronnin and some lilting piano from Seymour Milton.
Over the course of the ten tracks three separate violin players join the party, the best contribution being by Phil Mayers on The Remedy.

Frith plays solo on a couple of tunes - Pretty Penny and Little Bird. The credits for the former list harmonica, vocals and "stomp".
The mood throughout is understated and restrained, imagine the breathy vocals of John Martyn combined with the relaxed tones of James Taylor.
Nothing much to get excited about but fine if all you want a chilled album to "lay down your weary head"to.
