Review: 'Stowaways, The'
'Time for Change'

-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '2nd July 2012'

Our Rating:
Singer Jamie, guitarist Rudi and drummer Steve all cite The Police as an influence, and the press release even references Phil Collins. There’s definitely a hint of Sumner’s cod reggae tones in the vocals, too, but don’t let that put you off. ‘Time for Change’ is a classic piece of pop that’s lively, accessible and catchy, and boasts a soaring chorus that sweeps the listener along. As such, it’s hard to fault.

The b-side, ‘Changing Times’ suggests a theme developing, and while it’s another tidy bit of pop, they’re going to need to come up with some different titles to fill an album. Time for change indeed.
